Memorandum & Articles of Association

University of Warwick Chess Alumni Association

(Provisionally agreed on the 16th October, 2021.)

1. The University of Warwick Alumni Association is the official name of the Association, for alumni of Warwick Chess Society, and recognised friends of the Society and Association.

2. The goal of the Association is to (1) provide a welcoming environment and community for members, (2) run social events for members, and (3) run competitive teams where appropriate.

3. All members, approved by the Secretary, in the Mailing List and in the Alumni Facebook Group Chat, will be considered an Association member.

4. The Officers and Captains of the Association will be elected by members at the appropriate meeting or social, either annually or biannually, to form its Organising Committee.

5. In the event that the welcoming ethos of the Association is damaged by a member, the Chair / Treasurer / Secretary may suspend the individual concerned, subject to a review, overseen by the Chair.
